Akouedo area has been severely affected and people are living in very difficult conditions, because of the proximity of their village to the main garbage dump in Abidjan. Furthermore, it should be noted that the village of Akouedo was the most affected area by the toxic waste dumpings in August 2006. In response to this concern, Ms. Dominique Ouattara has offered, on behalf of the Children of Africa Foundation, 2 large industrial freezer to the women of Akouedo village to assist them in their new activity.
