Approximately 1,000 children of the precarious district of Gobelet, in the municipality of Cocody, have been vaccinated for free against typhoid fever on Saturday February 28.  This humanitarian action initiated by the Children of Africa Foundation, is the 5th one in this sensibilization campaign against typhoid fever.  
Dominique Ouattara, President of the Foundation, said that "the Typhoid fever is a terrible scourge that kills more than one can imagine.  As the healing is not necessarily assured, it is always better to prevent it than cure it".
Note that prior to the Gobelet stage, 4000 children from disadvantaged neighborhoods in the district of Abidjan had received the anti-typhoid vaccine, but also a seance of deworming.
