Dominique Ouattara visited on Thursday December 4 the INIPA (the Ivorian National Institute for the Advancement of the Blind) in Yopougon (north of Abidjan).  By making this visit, the President of Children of Africa wanted to get a grasp of the daily difficulties faced by disabled persons and provide them with moral and material support.  During her visit, Mrs. Ouattara has met with the residents of ECIS (Ivoirian school for deaf and mutes).
Present at the ceremony, Jeanne Peuhmond, head of  the Women and Social Affairs Cabinet, thanked Mrs. Ouattara  for her interest in these specialized structures, which face many difficulties in managing children with disabilities.
Mrs. Ouattara, who took note of the complaints, reiterated a few words of comfort and encouragement towards the disabled.  She also congratulated the heads of those centers for a well-accomplished job.
Dominique Ouattara gave 1 ton of rice, food and toys to 250 residents in 2 centers, all approximating a value of 2 000 000 FCFA.
